This Privacy Policy explains what information iFly SGU collects through www.iflysgu.com and our flight-logging, scheduling, and payment portal, how we use it, and the choices you have. We respect your privacy and handle your information with care.
1. Who we are
iFly SGU (“iFly SGU,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a flight school located at Hangar 47, Hurricane Municipal Airport (1L8), 748 West 2300 South, Hurricane, UT 84737. For any privacy question, contact us at pilot@iflysgu.com or (435) 288-2012.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you give us and information generated as you use the Services:
- Contact and account information — your name, email address, mobile phone number, and login credentials.
- Booking and flight records — reservations, flight logs, Hobbs/tach readings, aircraft and instructor associations.
- Payment information — handled by our payment processor (Stripe); we receive limited details such as confirmation and the last four digits, and do not store full card numbers.
- Inquiries — information you submit through our contact or discovery-flight forms.
- Technical data — basic device and usage information needed to operate and secure the Services.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide and operate the booking, flight-logging, and payment portal
- Process payments and send receipts
- Send account, scheduling, maintenance, and safety notifications (by email and, with your consent, by SMS)
- Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
- Maintain the security, integrity, and proper functioning of the Services
- Comply with legal, regulatory, and aviation-safety obligations
4. SMS / mobile messaging and opt-in data
If you opt in to text messages, we use your mobile number only to send you the account- and operations-related messages described in our Terms of Service — for example, flight log receipts, booking reminders, maintenance and squawk notices, and operational alerts. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for assistance.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the Services, and only with:
- Service providers that help us run the Services — such as our payment processor (Stripe), our messaging provider used to deliver SMS and email, and our hosting infrastructure — under agreements that limit their use of the information to providing those services to us.
- Legal and safety — when required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or iFly SGU.
As stated above, text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates, and your mobile information is never shared for marketing or promotional purposes.
6. Data retention and security
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, meet legal and recordkeeping obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7. Your choices
You may review and update your account information by signing in, or by contacting us. You can unsubscribe from SMS messages by replying STOP and from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link where provided. Note that we may still send essential service messages related to your account, bookings, or safety.
8. Children’s privacy
The Services are intended for users who are at least 18 years old, or who use them with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and post the new version on this page.
